Make sure not to miss these three films this weekend!

Monday is almost over and so is the monday blues. It’s time to celebrate and what would be better than doing just so than going to the cinema and watch some awesome films. Here’s the films that critics are raving about and that you simply cannot miss- there’s even one for every night this weekend.

Friday – La La Land

Kickstart your weekend with this romantic musical. Emma Stone stars as the aspiring actress Mia that falls in love with Ryan Gosling’s struggling Jazz Pianist Sebastian. But as their fame grows the harder it is to keep the flame alive. Nominated for 14 Oscars, winner of seven golden globes, and now ranked on IMDB’s as the 36th best film of all time La La Land will certainly not ruin your weekend. Premiering last week in Sweden it has taken the critics by storm.

Saturday- Moana

In the ancient Oceania, the skillful sailor Moana gets out on an adventure with her idol, the legendary sea god Maui (voiced by The Rock). Moana is nominated for two academy awards for best animated feature and best song for “How far I’ll go”, written by the one and only Lin Manuel Miranda. Take your whole family to watch this new Disney Classic premiering in Sweden the 3rd of February. In Sweden the film is called Vaiana due to copyright issues- and it’s not the only country that had to change the title.

Sunday- Jackie

There’s no better way than ending your weekend with this intimate portrait of Jackie Kennedy the days following her husbands murder. Natalie Portman stars as the iconic First Lady as she is trying to preserve the couple’s legacy as she is planning JF Kennedy’s funeral. Nominated for three Oscars, one nomination for Natalie Portman’s masterful portrayal, this psychological drama reaches the Swedish cinemas this Friday and features one of John Hurt’s last performances before he passed away two days ago.
